Back to School: Bible Classes
For many students, this week marks the second week of the school year.? This year, numerous students all over the state of Texas will take Bible electives courses, which give kids an academic edge in college.? In 2007, Liberty Institute helped pass a bill in the Texas Legislature requiring schools teach about the Bible's literary and historical value, and the following year, the State Board of Education finalized curriculum standards for elective courses and instruction on the Bible. The instruction is completely constitutional according to rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court, and it is now required under Texas law. ?
